2010 Phoenix Shriner's Bike Show

Today was a beautiful day for a ride!  I called my friend DJ to see if he needed an excuse to take out his new Triumph Thunderbird 1600 and he told me that he had already planned to meet up with his brother in law Augie for a ride to a bike show in Phoenix near the airport around 40th St. and Van Buren.  Not needing too much prodding, I told him I'd meet him at his house by 11:AM!

To tell you the truth, I was expecting to just see a bunch of tricked out Harleys and maybe some "urban" sport bikes.  Though the swap meet area was dominated by Harley parts, the bike show was a pleasant surprise.  Along with some vintage Harleys, there were some beautiful and clean European and classic Japanese bikes.  There were some mild customs and some ratty bikes, but there were many clean and restored beauties.  Enjoy the full photo album here.  I will make sure to keep an eye out for more vintage bike shows in the area and mark my calendar for this one next year.
